The design offers the ability to create even, controlled crescendos and decrescendos, and perfect infinite fades for ballads, contemporary compositions, jazz compositions, and more.The chime is the choice of professionals playing Elton John's musicals, Broadway shows, and other demanding scores written for key chimes, and wind and micro chimes of all kinds.

The centrifugal action of the smoothly spinning chime frame on the close-tolerance polymer bearing allows each individual key to sound independently. The chime design originated from studio work Ron did with Larry Londin, and later touring with Johnny Mathis, playing percussion on John's ballad, 99 Miles From L.A.
